Email me

Through reading this article I took many things away from this. I found out that welcome emails are important. It makes the customer happy and want to use a service over again. Also that drop box emails are important for getting people engaged back into what is happening, whether it be in marketing or promotion. Special promotions such as anniversaries are another way marketers send out emails. It's a smart decision on their part because they can offer a discount to get people to buy more. Personally I usually skip over the thank you email. But it's proven to help a company in the way they get feedback and how they get customers back. Throughout reading this I thought the many aspects of emails were interesting and very insightful.

Hang on tight

Coming off a loss last week to the Saints, the Falcons were look to fly high against the Titans this week. This was not the case. Another sloppy game and another sloppy week for the Falcons. The only high part of this weeks game was that they won. They barely snook one out against a weak Tennessee team. The final score was 10-7 and Julio Jones was the only falcon to score during the game. Both quarterbacks didn't really show up to today's game. Hopefully in weeks to come Atlantans offense can show up.  Atlanta currently sits at 6-1. Overall a great start to the season.

Data Article Reaction

While reading this article, I found many things that were helpful and interesting. First I would like to mention the style of this. I thought it was really easy to read and I was engaged through the whole process. I like how it talked about the timeliness of the email and short messages. I understood how timing is a big part of getting your message out. Throughout the article it talked a lot about email data. The most interesting aspect to me personally was the analytics part. I like how it said when you know your benefits of using this way that things will become more clearer and more evident throughout your marketing. In the end you need relevant information and you need a strict understanding of what you are talking about.

Frustrated Falcons

Going into this week, the Falcons were one of the five undefeated teams in the nfl. They played the saints this week and they sure did struggle. In the first half alone they fumbled twice in the red zone. At times they couldn't get their offense going and other times they would be driving and they would turn the ball over. The defense also gave up a lot of big plays, leaving the middle open most of the game. The Falcons fall to 5-1 but still sit almost top of their division behind the Panthers.

5 Tips reaction

Throughout reading this article I thought ,any things were important. First on how it talked about you should have a mobile friendly site because a lot of people today have smart phones. Next is the CTA aspect of it all. I never thought that CTAs were that important but now I realize that they are and it's important that yours is big and easily accessible by customers. It's also important to leave a number just in case they need to call you.  Keeping emails short is also another thing that is interesting. I never thought that the length of an email controlled viewership of a page or website. And never forget to cater to the people with desktops too. I learned many valuable things while reading this article.

Walk-Off Winners

Coming into Sunday's game, the Falcons were feeling pretty good about themselves. Being 4-0 and facing a weak team in the Washington Redskins. They quickly realized that they were in for a big game against the Skins. I feel like they came into the game really cocky and not ready to play. Matt Bryant missed two key field goals which could have turned the game around. They struggled on the offensive part of the ball today. There defense gave them a lot of life.
You tend to hear the phrase walk-off in a baseball background.  Walk-off is defined as "ending a baseball game immediately by causing the winning run to score for the home team in the bottom of the last inning". In the Falcons case they had a walk-off. Robert Alford was the hero in Sunday's game. In overtime he picked off Kirk Cousins and raced down the field and scored a touchdown to end the game. He ended the game with one play, and he was my hero for the day. Next week the Falcons will take on the division rival New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. We will be in for a show when Matt Ryan takes on Drew Brees.

Article Reaction

Through reading this article I found many great things. There were many things that sparked an interests for me. First off I liked how it talked about knowing who is most important. For a sports blog you should give avid sports fans something to really get excited for. It said you should make things personal and easily accessible. You should also build trust with the people who follow your blog. You should always be keeping them informed with the things that are coming up. The article says things about being a good listener, and I think for me its important that I listen well to people who have advice for me. I should start becoming more engaged with my viewers and ask them how I am doing with my blog. Through reading this article I have found a lot of useful information on how to optimize.

Video Prodcast

All In, Dan Quinn

Dirty birds still flying high this week. The Atlanta Falcons are now 4-0. Many people are going to credit the defense, offense, or special teams. I believe that Dan Quinn has been one of the biggest differences for the Falcons this year. During the off season, the Falcons fired head coach Mike Smith. On February 2, 2015 the Falcons reached an agreement with head coach Dan Quinn. So where did he come from? Last year he was the defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks. Last year the Seahawks lead the league in fewest points allowed all thanks to Dan Quinn. He has taken the Falcons where they needed to be this season so far. A great start to the season for the Falcons and they are still making improvements. Next week the Falcons will take on the Washington Redskins who are 2-2 coming off a week where they beat the Eagles. Birds Flying High this week.

Gross! Anatomy of Blog Post?

After reading this article, I felt invigorated. The first point I thoughts were interesting was the talk of the URL of your website. I think mine is quite intriguing. Bird flying High gives you a mental picture in your head while the Bird are actually flying high as of now being 3-0. Everyone loves short paragraphs because there are easy to read and usually not full of clutter. This is where I strive. Having an attention span of a peanut is perfect for writing quick and easy to read paragraphs.
One thing that caught my mind was the part about the images. You need to give credit where credit is due. For example if you have a picture on you blog it should be necessary to have where you found it under the picture, giving the person credit for said picture. It is also important to add keywords so your readers or potential readers can read up on your current blog. I thought that was very interesting when they talked about use relative information. For example people not might not understand some jargon you use. I was appalled when I saw that. Looks like from now on I have to talk like a normal human being in my posts. Overall I thought this article was good and enjoyed reading and learning new things.
